A Walk-through in My Life as a School Student📒-1?

I attended two schools in my academic career before taking up a university- Modern English School, Kahilipara(MES), and Don Bosco School, Panbazar(DBS). The first thirteen years were spent in MES and the rest two years in DBS.

But sadly I have more snaps preserved from DBS than MES life due to the non-popular easy digital photography culture during the early 2000s. This blog is a collection of the last few days at both institutions.

Modern English School, Guwahati

I have a lot of good and bitter memories (a lot more good ones though). These snaps are actually from the last few days in our classroom, possibly in some event day as electronic gadgets are not allowed on regular school days.

I still feel bad for those numerous photos (they were not mere photos but little last day memories) in my camera, which were casually removed by ‘___’ [My batchmates can predict it best], for some silly issues 🙄 (I mean 8 years later, when I am grown up at least to make a decision, I still feel it was really silly).

Sometimes, certain strictness (though may be done with good intentions) can be permanent damage to others for a lifetime✍️- a lesson I learnt a hard way.

Anyways, one of my friend's cameras had backup storage 😍 and so I do have at least some.

There are some other snaps too from some random events in my school life.

This was back in class 5 or 6 when we who were mentored by Rani Mam, presented work on the wallboard for Rongali Bihu, one of the three Bihu’s celebrated in Assam.

I think as class 6 students we made it quite creative 🥲

Our mentor- Rani Ma’am

Similar to this we made several other wallboards as well😌.

Our workplace 🤫

We also went for the interschool college fests to south point school for several competitions. I and Rajat jointly won the “Movie Making Competition” events twice in that fest. Koustav and Dhyan also won the Quiz Competition for the year. We all had a lot of fun regardless of what the results were🥳. The food was awesome there.

(It was especially a delight to us who came from a school that loved serving khichdi on all occasions back then😛 — it was delicious but repetitive😂).

Another year in the fest

I shockingly found two photos from my classroom 😌 with teachers taking our regular class 🤯. I have no idea from where on earth these photos landed on my PC 😌, but so glad to have found this treasure.

These photos are as random as the weather in the UK😂

With all these nice moments we all finally graduated in 2014 and headed towards our new senior secondary journey.

I would love to have some more photos if my friends have some 🥳. You may mail me at manpa.barman97@gmail.com.

You might want to clap 👏 to show me your support if you like it.

Stay tuned for the second part of my school life in the next blog😌.
